Waiting for the rain.
Waiting for the thirst you feel to end.
My darling little flower’s stem must bend,
In sandy days I know you fight to grow.
Waiting for the sun.
It’s not night but I fear it’s far from day.
My darling flower’s petal now must fade,
Her shining hues no longer let to glow.
Waiting for the wind.
Waiting for your breath to reach the sky.
My darling flower’s scent to whisper why,
Your secret still for no one else to know.
Waiting for the rain.
With every stormless day that we can see,
My darling flower rests still beside me,
I’ll never have the time to let you go.
Waiting for the thirst you feel to end.
My darling little flower’s stem must bend,
In sandy days I know you fight to grow.
Waiting for the sun.
It’s not night but I fear it’s far from day.
My darling flower’s petal now must fade,
Her shining hues no longer let to glow.
Waiting for the wind.
Waiting for your breath to reach the sky.
My darling flower’s scent to whisper why,
Your secret still for no one else to know.
Waiting for the rain.
With every stormless day that we can see,
My darling flower rests still beside me,
I’ll never have the time to let you go.
